EARTH DAY CELEBRATED Community Service

EARTH DAY CELEBRATED

On April 22, 2026, Rotary Club of Dimapur marked Earth Day by planting 50 fruit-bearing saplings at Lengrizan Government Higher Secondary School. Mango, guava, Chikoo and Litchi varieties were chosen for their nutritional value and suitability to Nagalands climate. Students, teachers, and Rotarians participated enthusiastically, digging pits and watering the saplings. This initiative enhances the school campuss greenery, promotes biodiversity, and provides future harvests for the community. It combats deforestation while educating youth on sustainability. We also Conducted Poster Competition between Students. An awareness program for E-waste was also conducted and urge the students to collect E waste and hand it over to us we will send it for Re Cycle and Re Use.

RO DRINKING WATER STATION AT GOVT SCHOOL

The Rotary Club of Dimapur has taken a significant step toward improving public health by installing two advanced water filters at Lengrizan Government Higher Secondary School. Serving 750 students, the school previously struggled with access to clean drinking water, leading to health concerns and disruptions in daily routines. In a dedicated installation ceremony, RC Dimapur provided these state-of-the-art filters to effectively cater to the entire student body. This initiative not only addresses immediate water safety needs but also promotes long-term hygiene awareness. School principal and students expressed heartfelt gratitude, hailing it as a trans-formative contribution to their well-being.

International Womens Day Celebration

Rotary Club of Dimapur organized a impactful Mensuration Hygiene Programme on International Womens Day, reaching 200 female workers at Silver Plywood Factory. The programme focused on menstrual hygiene education, aligning with global efforts to empower women through awareness. Sanitary pads and food packets were distributed to all 200 participants, ensuring practical support alongside knowledge-sharing. Dr. Khusboo Agarwal served as the resource person, delivering an informative session on menstrual hygiene. She explained essential practices, likely drawing from her expertise as an obstetrician and gynaecologist specializing in womens health. The event promoted hygiene, broke taboos, and equipped workers with resources for better health.

CPR AWARENESS CAMP

The Rotary Club of Dimapur successfully organized a CPR training camp, highlighting community health initiatives in Nagaland. Dr. Rakesh Periwal from Guwahati (Ghy) contributed expertise to the event. Camps were conducted at three key locations to maximize outreach. The CPR camp focused on equipping participants with life-saving skills amid rising cardiac emergencies. Training emphasized hands-on practice for effective response. CANCER AWARENESS & DENTAL SCREENING

The Rotary Club of Dimapur, in collaboration with Interact Club of Gonyu Memorial School and Interact Club of Mount Mary School, organized a Cancer Awareness and Dental Screening Programme at Mount Mary School, Chumukedima. About 150 students attended the event, where Dr. Arihant delivered a PPT presentation highlighting the dangers of tobacco use among youth and its harmful impact. He stressed the importance of avoiding such substances in daily life. FREE HEALTH CHECK UP & MEDICAL CAMP

On 26th October 2025, The Rotary Club of Dimapur, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Dimapur, organized a Free Health Check-up and Diabetes Screening Camp at Govt High School, Sengrizan. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and early detection of diabetes in rural communities. A dedicated team of nine doctors and one lab attendant conducted the screenings and consultations with care and efficiency. Around 250 villagers benefited from this camp, receiving valuable guidance on health and lifestyle management. The event reflected Rotary’s commitment to serving humanity and creating healthier, more aware communities through collaborative efforts. The event served as a wonderful family get-together filled with laughter, games, and vibrant festive décor reflecting true Diwali spirit. Members and their families participated enthusiastically in fun activities, sharing moments of togetherness and warmth. The highlight of the evening was the cheerful ambience of lights, music, and camaraderie that strengthened Rotary bonds. It was an evening to cherish, celebrating unity, friendship, and festive joy within the Rotary family. About 20 members with their family and 10 members single attended. It was fun filled event.

WORLD POLIO DAY

The Rotary Club of Dimapur organized a Polio Awareness Rally on 24th October, to Mark the World Polio Day, as part of Rotary’s ongoing mission to achieve a polio-free world. The rally witnessed an enthusiastic participation of about 500 students from various educational Scholls in Dimapur, reflecting the community’s strong commitment to health awareness and social responsibility. The event was organized under the chairmanship of R.S. Panesar, whose dedicated leadership ensured smooth coordination and remarkable participation. The rally was flagged off by PDG Chandu Agarwal, who commended the Rotary Club’s persistent efforts toward eradicating polio and inspiring the younger generation to take part in this global cause. Participants carried banners and placards with impactful messages promoting immunization and health awareness. To encourage the students, the club distributed T-shirts and refreshments.

As we honor our matribhasha, let us remember— “हिन्दी हमारी शान है, राष्ट्र की पहचान है।” Students from various schools participated Hindi poem Recitation competition,out of which 3 students were given 1st a, 2nd and 3rd prize, 14 members and 24 Guests were present.all participating Students were rewarded with a certificate of participation.our Rotarian members also recited a Hindi Poem. INSTALLATION

54th Club Installation Ceremony of New Board was installed on 06th July25 , Rtn Pankaj Modi as President and Rtn Vivek Jain as Club Secretary, In the presence of Chief Guest DGP Nagalnd Rupin Sharma ji IPS and Installation Officer and Guest of Honour Rtn R S Panesar. Moc by Rtn Vijay sharma , Introduction of Chief Guest by Rtn Ashok Agarwal, Acceptance Speech by Rtn Pankaj Modi, Vote of thanks by Installation Chairman Rtn Asish Adyanthaya. A wheel chair was donated to a needy and under privilege person aged about 80 years. The Ceremony was attained by 42 Rotary members of RC Dimapur and 100 of Guest were present on the occasion.Prominent media person and Various NGOs were also present . Programme was followed by Fellowship and Dinner.
